RSVP "Retired & Senior Volunteer
Program' is the only program in Lee County, whose focus is on recruiting & referring
RSVP volunteers where they are needed, and recognizing them
for the service they provide. We offer 'one stop shopping' for
Retirees & Seniors 55 and up who are looking for volunteer opportunities &
assist non profit, governmental agencies & proprietary
healthcare facilities seeking additional RSVP volunteers. We
currently collaborate with over 100 agencies in Lee County

CARES Suicide Prevention
needs volunteers!
Volunteers are needed for the Welcome Center. Opportunity involves
greeting walk-ins, answering phones and providing resources.
Training is provided on site to any individual with a smiling face
interested in helping
to save a life. Shifts are 2 1/2 hours during the time frames of
9am-7pm Monday thru Friday and 10am-4pm
on Saturdays. Call Tara Moser at

Senior Friendship Centers needs
a
Retired Volunteer Nurse!

Assist 4hrs/week at a new
Health/Wellness Program at Hatton Rogers Residential Facility in No.
Ft. Myers. Duties to include patient intake and screening, assisting
physicians, assisting with set up of Medical Resource Center,
medical record keeping and answering patient questions. Referring
patients to local resources. Training other volunteer staff. May
work with Medication Assistance Program for low-income seniors.

Volunteers are needed at the Edison Ford Winter Estates.
Opportunities include information booth, greeter, assistance in
retail shops, propagation of plants, museum attendant, educational
or tour docent, office support, building maintenance and special

Wake Up America has an immediate need for volunteers
to pick up groceries from participating markets. The groceries are
then dropped off at the Distribution Center on Central Ave in Fort
Myers and this takes less than 2 hours any morning between Monday
and Saturday. Help is also needed at the Distribution Center to sort
