Friendship Volunteer Center Teen Corps

we collected 6718 Kool-Aid singles packets for the Troops. Our goal was to fill 20 boxes and we filled 27. Thank you to all that came out to help. A special thank goes out to Flavia from Palmona Park and the Church Of the Brethren in Palmona for the use of their hall, and the wonderful lunch they made.

Kool-Aid Singles for the Troops:  We are collection kool-aid singles, Crystal light singles, Gatorade singles, (the ones you put into water bottles shake and drink) then we will be putting them in boxes and sending them to the US soldiers in Iraq.

Friendship Volunteer Center Teen Corps

our goal was to make up 135 gift bags we were able to make up 140. Thank you to all that came out to help.

 

Project Bed Time:  We will be collecting new P.J.'s and hand held stuff toys, books and other items that a child ( ages 0-17) would use at bedtime. We will be putting the bags together and delivering them to local Children's homes. There will be 128+ children that will benefit from this project

Page Park is having a canned food drive for  their food pantry and also collecting items for the soldiers in Iraq. The boxes will be mailed out on October 27th

Suncoast TOPS

This was a success there were about 22 people from the Suncoast TOPS and McGregor Baptist Church Youth Group. They all made such a big difference in this elderly mans life. Good job to everyone that work on this project.

will assist an elderly, disabled gentleman clean up and order his home, Yard, and shed. Tim Goodman will participate on behalf the Goodwill's High School- High Tech Program

Pine Manor TOPS will be starting a garden for all of Pine Manor,  planting plants and mulching. lunch will be provided after. Meet at the community Center located at 547 10th Ave. Ft. Myers, 33907

Suncoast Estates

Suncoast Community is doing three activities this year: 1. Roadways and ditch clean-up 2. Building a ramp and cleaning a yard and removal of a hurricane shed for a couple in the community.3. Working with the  N.F.M Fire Dept placing the blue reflectors in the street where the hydrants for identification at night.

Palmona Park

This was a much needed project. Thanks to everyone who helped with this project. It will make a BIG difference to the Fire Department when they have to fight fires in this neighborhood. Thanks to your hard work someone's life might be saved.

Fire Hydrant Reflector Project- they will be putting down reflectors around the Fire Hydrants so that it will make them easier for the  Fire Dept. to see them

Family health & Safety Fair on Sat. 10-4pm @ The Cape Coral Wellness Center.  This free community event has something for everyone.  Kid's friendly Halloween costume contest @ 12 noon.  Wellness recommendations, free seminars, performances, informational tables and displays. Bloodmobile.  Canned food drive.  Collection for our troops: beef jerky, movie DVD's, blank Christmas cards, camo socks, wet wipes,  foot lotion & powder.  Collection for homeless veteran's & families:  small blankets & tarps, toilet paper, paper towels, hand sanitizer, chap stick, dark or camo baseball caps, sewing kits & rain ponchos.  Participants include Lee County Sheriff's Dept., Cape Coral Police Dept., Lee Memorial Health System and more.
