The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a national program created by Congress in

1971 to encourage individuals 55 years of age and older to put their skills and life experience to work

for their communities through volunteerism. RSVP is one of the components of the National Senior Service Corps and a proud part of the USA Freedom Corps, the President's Call to Service.

Another award for Outstanding Volunteer of the year was presented to Larry Burningham (right) from Gulf Coast's Double Take Thrift Store. Also picture is Susan Crowe, Volunteer Coordinator for Gulf Coast Medical Center.

 

                            

 

The award for Outstanding Volunteer Coordinator was presented to Ed Latwinski from the Kidney Foundation Thrift Store in Cape Coral. Pictured with him is Alice Belo who nominated him and has been with the chapter since its inception 31 years ago.

 

Almost 300 volunteers, coordinators and guests attended

this annual event held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. Door prizes and raffle gifts were presented thanks to area businesses and partners. Thank you for your support.
