The Retired & Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) is a national program created by Congress in

1971 to encourage individuals 55 years of age and older to put their skills and life experience to work

for their communities through volunteerism. RSVP is one of the components of the National Senior Service Corps and a proud part of the USA Freedom Corps, the President's Call to Service.

Another award for Outstanding Volunteer of the year was presented to Rafaela Lopez( middle) from Interfaith Caregivers of South Lee. Also pictured is Edna Jackson (left), Volunteer Coordinator for Interfaith Caregivers.

 

                

 

The award for Outstanding Volunteer Coordinator

was presented to Sgt. Dede Petracca (middle) from

the Lee County Sheriff's Office VOICE Unit. Also pictured, Sheriff Mike Scott (upper right) and staff and volunteers

of the VOICE Unit.

 

Almost 350 volunteers, coordinators and guests attended

this annual event held at the Broadway Palm Dinner Theatre. Door prizes and raffle gifts were presented thanks to area businesses and partners. Thank you for your support.
